The report shows this gap when Shopify’s session count is available. It can include unconsented visits, link previews and background loads. It cannot tell you how many were previews—or prove those people never visited.
Every finding has a sample and a threshold. The brief also explains which checks didn’t qualify, so you can tell the difference between a problem worth investigating and a pattern that hasn’t cleared the bar.

The recorder starts after the page loads, during browser idle time. Recordings upload when a trigger fires.
Input values are masked before transmission. Recording requires consent, recordings stay in the EU, and shoppers are never linked across merchants.
Your connected AI reads structured session timelines, named clicks, findings and heatmap images. It can investigate behaviour and point you to a relevant replay. CustomerJourney records sessions triggered by friction or valuable activity; it doesn’t claim every visit becomes a video reviewed by AI.
The canvas is an actual visit, replayed—not a flat screenshot. That preserves the layout and page state, including open mobile navigation, menus and drawers. Clicks connect to named elements, next steps and associated session revenue.
No. It shows revenue associated with sessions that interacted with that element. Use it to understand commercial context, alongside the sample and page baseline. CustomerJourney does not provide multi-touch attribution modelling.
No. The recorder runs on your storefront, not in Shopify’s hosted checkout. Journeys can include the resulting order when it can be linked, but checkout interactions are not replayed.
Form input, textarea and select values are masked in the browser. Personal information displayed as ordinary page text can still be captured. Recording is consent-gated, with per-store isolation and deletion handled through Shopify’s compliance webhooks.
The Chrome extension is in early access. Request access to explore heatmaps and click insights directly on your store.
A few thousand sessions a month is a useful starting point. Findings need enough evidence to distinguish a pattern from noise. When a page has too little data, the product says so rather than guessing.
